Sandblasting a Fj40

Does anyone know of a place where I can get my Chassis and some parts sand blasted and Another that overhuals motors? I'm keeping the 2F. :twisted:

theres a dude in Ham that has a 350 chev and toyo box with adaptor bell housing for sale dude, not sure if your still interested in that move but thought i would mention it :wink:

will try to find the listing if your keen ? he has some HSE rover mufflers for sale but in the Q&A mentions that he has the other bits

dont know yet mate

it sounds way better but thats all i know so far. hopefully take it for a skid round the farm thisweekend to see how it feels. let you know :wink:

if your not going to be running monkey big wheels tho i would stick to the 2f, im only doing the chev conversion because the 2f was strugleing a bit to spin up the 36" centipedes :twisted:

it did everything i asked of it and never ever gave me any troubles, as far as im concerned if it had another 100hp i would have left it in there.

I just rang a place, it's $2500 to overhaul a 2F! :shock:

I can just as well buy a v8. I'm only running 33's bight look at bigger in a few months. I'm only 23 and it's getting pretty bloody expensive! :shock:

you would be looking at about that or more if someone is doing it for you to do the conversion mate, its not a cheap exersize

whats wrong with your 2f ?

It's running fine with no smoke. I'm just trying to get some more power out of it. It needs a big clean up and it doesn't sound mean. So looking at a new exhuast but will have to find out what sort of exhuast will make it roar. Did you see the pics of it wopass?

you can have the zaust that came off my 2f for a small fee,coustom made muffler by a mate of mine and fairly big pipe mate, that sounded primo ! stuck out the side just infront of the rear passenger wheel :wink:

theres a few vids in my album of it in action where you can hear it.

Hey Dude, If you want I should take you for a spin in my Brown FJ40. It may not look like much but it used to be a top Thunder Truck.

Its got the 2F engine in it but previous owner spent $10k on a very nice port and polish job. This engine revs real good :twisted:

I`m trying to decide if I Keep the whole truck after building my new one (One rough truck and one street legal for lighter play) or Sell the whole brown truck ($$$ would be handy), or sell parts and put the bits I want into the new truck (Will be transferring the bonnent at least :wink:

)

Anyhow - my 2F is a real good motor - guys in the club have been real impressed. So it might be available for sale one day (if I can ever make up my mind). Just a thought :wink:
