ever thought of using interanl beadlocks. They don't need certification.

bead lockers
Internals were my first look - worked out costing the same as external and a few in our club had had "disappointments" with them a while back - might have been when they were still working out the bugs. I'd pretty much come to the 48-hole solution myself - don't mind the drilling, I can make a quick jig to do that, it's the tapping that will eb the chore. Anyway,. the low vol. regs say any mods have to be done by a suitable person, so I expect I'd go back to Brian to get it done, if at all. I had a quick look last night, and with 48 holes they'd be awful close together (on 15"s) - reckon they'd still be strong enough?
Also, on the last run into Rallywoods I lost pressure in 1 - leaked out around the valve stem quite slowly, so got home with a couple of stops to re-up. Haven't broken it down to look yet, but the "no tubes" option sounds good. Doddzee - what did you use to seal the welds on yours? I'm thinking a light smear of sikaflex should do it?

They look alright to me with 48 bolts, and we haven't broken them yet:

Instead of tapping the second half, you can just put nuts on the back to make it easier, but then thats even more weight.
