Internals were my first look - worked out costing the same as external and a few in our club had had "disappointments" with them a while back - might have been when they were still working out the bugs. I'd pretty much come to the 48-hole solution myself - don't mind the drilling, I can make a quick jig to do that, it's the tapping that will eb the chore. Anyway,. the low vol. regs say any mods have to be done by a suitable person, so I expect I'd go back to Brian to get it done, if at all. I had a quick look last night, and with 48 holes they'd be awful close together (on 15"s) - reckon they'd still be strong enough?

Also, on the last run into Rallywoods I lost pressure in 1 - leaked out around the valve stem quite slowly, so got home with a couple of stops to re-up. Haven't broken it down to look yet, but the "no tubes" option sounds good. Doddzee - what did you use to seal the welds on yours? I'm thinking a light smear of sikaflex should do it?

I just used some of high temp gasket sealer that i had lying around, sikaflex will be fine though. There is a rubber place in petone (sorry cant remember name) that sells tubeless dump valves to suit the oversized valve hole the bead lock rims have.

Dude- 48 holes, which is one hole every 7.5 degrees?-you will have more bolts than rim!
Not only are you making it heavier your probally making it weaker!

They look alright to me with 48 bolts, and we haven't broken them yet:

Instead of tapping the second half, you can just put nuts on the back to make it easier, but then thats even more weight.

You could just drill between every second bolt and make them 36.
