conversion of G16a into sj413
conversion of G16a into sj413
Does anybody out there know how to get an adapter kit for this conversion? And also, can the power steering change over? If so is it difficult to do? Any other information on this conversion would be much appreciated.

Yup, I make an adaptor kit to fit a 1600 into a SJ413 or Samurai.
The kit contains all the bits to get the motor bolted into place, and some instructions. Cost is $200.
You can use the Vitara power steering in a 413 / Samurai too. You just need either a wedge mounting plate, or a flat mounting plate and a funky steering shaft angle.
I have made bolt-in adaptor plates in the past to mount a Toyota Cressida power steering box to the chassis.
I went this route as it fits in much nicer, clears the radiator, doesn't require any steering shaft modification, and the boxes are cheap.
Mmmmm.... power steering.

adapter kit
sounds good ben, how do i go about getting 1?
A fleet? Hell no, just have a small fleet on my watch list at the moment trying to get a feel for the market before I dive in head first again and waiting until the investment lifeguard has her back turned.
I guess when I get something I will be able to make more decisions but it's nice to have some contingincy plans ready should something come up requiring "extra work".
Since youv'e been running these kits for a while is there anything you would do differently or any additional mods you would recommend?

Heath
