turbo manifolds

Post by decsnz »

Hi I'm new to this forum.

I am looking to turbo my safari and found an interesting page on making turbo manifolds.

http://www.sdsefi.com/techheader.htm

Just a question?

Can I use an exhaust gasket as a template for making a manifold?

you can but i wouldnt garentee a fit first time

what it did was vice grip the manifold to the 10mm flat section and spray paint directly into the holes then drilled them out

bolt the gasket and the manifold on the draw around the gasket unblot it again and mark out the port holes
gas axe and die grind them out

easy as

Hmmm, I was sort of hoping I didn't have to unbolt the manifold until I was ready with the new setup. Oh well

About $75 for the steel and cutting. I will let you know when I pick it up.
