Tell me shut up when ever you like, but you will definatly be looking for strengthened CV's with a front locker in a 40.
It is THE weakest point in the drive train.
Especially when locked, turning those giant rollers.
Do the rear first.
If you convince your self you really really need the front locked too, then give it a go if you have to.
The other side of the locker debate is that with lockers you actualy reduce the chance of damage to the drive train.
Being locked front and rear means you can adopt a much less aggressive driving style, as the lockers enable you to traverse terrain slowly and completely in control, as opposed to attacking with momentum and bouncing and spinning etc.
When locked, the bouncing and spinning is a lot more harmfull to the drive train than when open obviously.
Thats my reasoning behind getting one. So i don't have to charge at stuff as hard.
Unless my diffs are recontouring the track of course
