Hi, i dont suppose any one would know if some defender wheels would fit a Series 3 "Stage 1" (ex Army 109)??????

I don't think that they do - the defender will have disc brakes & I think the wheels will foul on the drums on yours - of course you could swap to some RR/Disco axles & get better brakes at the same time :D
If at first you don't succeed .... Get a bigger hammer!!
