Hey Nath, i run a lockright auto locker in the front. For $550 it can't be beaten. Air lockers are good, but waaaaaaay over priced for what they do

the only prob with auto locker in front is that wen u dont want it it just too bad and allot of they guys down here have taken them out and gone to lsd or airlockers due to the fact that in extreme offroading they have a tendancy to destroy halfshafts and c.v,s

ARB is about $1540 plus GST retail in NZ and I think the compressors are $480 plus GST. Then they want them fitted by an authousised dealer for waranty purposes and I think they like to replace all the carrier bearings etc at the same time ..... SO, that makes it lots of $$$$$$ for one of those :?

When i got my ARB Front fitted a couple of months ago it cost $2400 fitted including a compressor.

Front lockers make a huge difference in safaris, fit a front locker stick with your lsd, and see if you really need the rear.

I havent had and experence with an auto lockers was put off them as you dont have a choice, its always in. There are many times where i do not use the front locker off due to needing steering and on terrain where the cv's will get loaded up too much. My third outing in my truck i blew a cv by using the locker where i shouldnt have.

But for everyone else it would be the short side. The short side is the weakest.

actually i was meaning that it would depend on which way you were wanting to turn as the inside wheel turns slower than the outer so if you had the wrong hub unlocked it wouldnt make any difference to your turning hassles with an auto locker  ....

and its my short side that has the normal CV in it  so thats the one i have to be carefull of  :?
