a couple of tracks from Andy C's book:

Lake Rerewhakaaitu
Rainbow Mountain
Tarawera Falls

or theres always Minganui??????????????????????????????????

as to how wet is wet, guess it depends on how much rain we might get :)

There will be plenty of mud. It is not us saying that we cant go if its raining (I would love to) .... Pete has said that it is a no go because he doesnt want the tracks being totally wrecked... We will jsut have to see what happens with the weather.

I promise with the best of my ability...(he, he)..I will try to not feed the throttle any unforseen amounts of downward pressure, resulting in loss of traction to the front and rear wheels.....Honest

Ha ha ha ha .....Come on let us do it!!!!!!

If you pospone for a week I will be in. I flew back into the country yesterday and have at least a good 7 days solid toil ahead of me to catch up on before I can go and play. I will watch this thread with interest.

p.s. the lake Rerewhakaaitu track from the demain to the camp ground is pretty muddy at the moment (found one bog I had to winch through) and the lake level was pretty high when I went round a couple of weeks ago.

down here we grade tracks by the number of 'O's in the word COOL
this track looks COOOOOOOL ! = serious stuff, not for the faint of heart.
that track is gonna be COOOOOL ! = pretty hard
that track was COOOOL ! medium to average
looks like a COOOL track = shiny
COOL track = do it in a 2wd hona civic on a wet day..... with bald tyres..

you will be fine mate (im not going...sob sob  )

DONT WANNA HOLD YOU GUYS BACK!!!!!!!! Hell no cowboy your little suzie will pop out of the mud like a twig whilst being yanked on by a 2 ton safari.....ha ha

If you dont get stuck we aint trying hard enough, your rig will be fine.

But if we only gonna be driving gravel I might bail, get pissed with XJ in the motel Sat night and flag the Sunday drive....

So fingers crossed it doesnt piss down too much and Petes place is open for action.
