I got a couple of front seats from a Honda civic - cost $10 complete with retractable seat belts from the local scrap-metal dealers who strip out abandoned cars for the crusher. Seats are worth nothing to them - they just get crushed. Keep away from the wreckers. I just mounted them on some angle-iron cut to fit in the rear & bolt them through the rear wheel-wells. I bolted the seat-belt stalks to the angle-iron so they come out with the seats & it leaves the back clear when the seats are out. Only 4 bolts to remove them, and the kids in the back have seats just as good as the ones in the front. A bit more hassle than a folding seat, but just about any small car seats will do, and heaps more comfortable. I had no trouble getting a WOF - they just checked it was all high-tensile bolts. If there was a hassle, I'd just take the seats out for the WOF anyway.
