CAUTION people
Its not a wise thing to tell people you have firearms at your home especially on a public website.
If there is a pic of your 4wd on her & the license plate is visible its very easy to find out where you live & for someone to come visit & steal them.....be careful eh.

I'll be getting my gun licence this year. So I'll have a REAL gun sometime soon.
But right now i own (you guys would call toys) a .22 FX Revolution 12 shot semi auto precharge airgun (3000psi). 70 shots with one fill of the tank. Chronograph measures a drop of around 50fps between fills. Shooting 16grn pellets at 960fps with around 30ft lbs of energy. Takes out bunnies and possums no problems at 50m. Can get a 5cm grouping at 100m.

My other precharge gun is a goat killer. 6 shot 9mm Career Ultra. Shoots 100grn pellet at around 900fps with around 90ft lbs of energy. I'm still getting familiar with it. It needs a silencer that's for sure. =)

I guess you're talking about the FX semi auto?
If so. I totally agree! But then you can pay double that for the top of the line Daystate .22 airgun. $5k.

I like the semi auto action of the FX Revo for half that price. The Daystate isn't even semi auto. The FX is the only semi auto on the market today. 8)

I understand what you mean!

But I have mine under major lock and key (I have kids) and am ADT protected. But still. You are right. Never the less, i own airguns, powerful ones, not firearms, no powder guns here!! :D

I guess you can never be to careful.
But I have a damn good gun safe and ADT security so if they still want to steal it? They can try. The bolt or magazine is never stored in the same place as the weapon. (blah blah)

I got my gun license the other month. This is my latest addition.
A mini-14 Ruga .223 semi auto with a gunworks muffler and a harris bi pod. Cracks like a magnum .22 8)

Nice weapon there Pete.

I took out my 22 today and gave it a clean in preparation for bunny shooting. I used to go up to Waipara as they were everywhere, but not too sure if its a good idea with all the bullshit regarding 4WD access etc thats going on at the moment.

Where do you normally go to shoot?

Have a chat with the guys at, dare I say it, Guncity. Or Cameron at Hunting and Fishing down Montreal St. They tell me there's HEAPS of bunnies north northwest of Waipara. They have a real problem with them. And at this time of the year there'll be even more of the little buggers about. As for 4WD access. That's no problem as to get access to the problem/bunny areas you'll have to arrange it with the farmer as it's on private land. That way there's no one 4WDing in the areas you'll be shooting in. So that's sorted. And the only way to get access is with your 4WD. So you'll be getting the best of both worlds. Bring it on!
I'm going to get more info from the gun shops and arrange to meet with the owners of the land a week before planning a trip up there.
