Regulator trouble

Post by fweddy »

The regulator for my spotties is giving trouble. First of all my lights stopped working so we tracked it down to that, then I adjusted it but then discovered that they stayed on and couldn't turn them off unless I stopped, opened the bonnet and hit the regulator.

Can't seem to get it right and its got some black sooty stuff in it and the contacts are thin. Think its shot.

Its 24V 20A - Where is the best place to source?

There is an automotive lighting place on Albert St in Rangiora. Think they are the Hella agents from memory. They should have what you are looking for. If Rangiora is handy for you that is. :D

I think you may be wanting to ask them for a relay not a regulator?

I was trying to figure which one it was, but after some searching I found that spotlights have regulators, unless they had it wrong too!

I'll recheck with my bro or sister's boyfriend they are both sparkies...

Its a little black box - maybe its from an aeroplane?

I don't care as long as I stop getting flashed at when I can't turn my powerful spotties off
