WTB: 1uz, auto and complete wiring loom/puter. Or, just loom

Post by pradojim »

Hey guys,
I want to put a 1uz in my prado. I do know of a place which has one, but it has a cut wiring loom. So, does anyone know where I can get a complete unit? or just the wiring loom and comp? (for a reasonable price for both items)

Or, does anyone have a dummy block/dead block which I can use in welly?

Cheers
Jim

Complete 1UZ's with computer and loom come up all the time on trademe, easiest place to keep an eye. Just setup a favourite search to email you each day.

If you can afford it go with an aftermarket computer. The links are fairly easy to wire in.

Have you seen my buildup in the projects/mods section? 'Clints Cruiser Project'?

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.

If you want to run the factory auto it's easy to use the factory ECU, might cost a bit more to get it wired in but you don't have to buy a Link and a trans controller.

Thanks swampa, I had a look at it tonight.

clint - An aftermarket computer would be nice, but I would prefer to keep the standard computer due to needing the auto to be a full auto. I saw your thread. Your prado looks like a beast

mattman - i plan on tackling th ewiring by myself

Cool. Go hard.

There is a lot of wiring info available on the net.
