89 Lada Niva with toyota 2c diesel.

Hey, I have a lada that has current wof and reg for standard engine (1600 petrol). We have installed a toyota 2c diesel motor into it, using the standard gearbox (5speed) and running gear. The mounts and bell housing etc are off a previous certified lada that failed wofs on rust. I have certification badge for installation from other lada.

BUT the 2c threw the cam belt a couple of weeks ago and snapped the cam shaft in two places! I have still the original petrol engine (pretty sad)

I want to get rid of the lada as I have spent enough on it already. It has basically no rust and is in pretty good nick, I also have a shed full of spare parts diffs, steering, glass etc.

If anybody is interested in it PM me and we will talk, I was thinkin between $500 and $1000 bucks. Be a good truck if you have a good head and a bit of time to throw in it.

I have two ladas already but could do with a legal body both of mine have been deregestered one because of rust other because of engine(I have been trying to make one outta two) we also have a isuzu trooper 2.8 turbo intercooled that needs a bit of work to be legal(windscreen,front CV and some rust repairs) which may be worth a swap...

Ummm I got a red one and a white one :wink:

The red one has a good body and running gear but engine is sad,Has 5 speed gear box,
White one has sad body and transfer case,but good 4 speed and engine and a bullbar and tints...
both deregistered both had WOFs until earlier this year.
