tgaguy1 wrote:Sunday's run isn't catering for the rough trucks. Darryl's 40 would be best described as "rough truck", very capible though.

Skid, you need to fit a 60 or 70 serise PTO. That will deal to the bombing range no problem![]()

Me personally, i wouldn't be going in there in anying other than a winch truck, or something like the missile, with out a good radiator blind, a tank full of compressed air, a spare alternator, 20L or water and a well sealed bell housing. That and the usual spare axles and CV's, innition parts etc etc.
The track its self is not so bad. Its the mud inthe boggs that gets ya.
Think that your sittin in a bog, mud up over your tyres while your setting a winch line up, the watery mud in the meentime is finding its way into good knows where (bell housing, causing clutch slippage/failure, or being spalshed around the engine bay by the fan getting into the electrics). Thats what gets people. Over heating through clogged radiators, driveline failure through mud ingress, or electrical failure through mud in the alternator or worse.
Take the gear to combat those factors, and its well do-able![]()
