Go cart/mechanical type caliper for disc t-case handbrake?

Post by turoa »

Does anyone know where I can get a mechanical caliper? Im looking at converting the output of my t-case to disc from drum as ive gotten sick of adjusting the handbrake. I have a go kart caliper on a go cart, but its hydraulic. Can I get a mechanical one anywhere?

Cheers

hi Tu, try the kart shops, or motorcycle wreckers. Some of the smaller bikes had cable operated discs too. I know some RM80's had them if thats any use? Cheers, Andy.

Hey T
Try any of the budget transport wholesalers for a trailer brake most of em will stock cable calipers and they will be bigger than bike or kart ones
I was looking at a supercheap one till I decided to make one

Early Subaru's have nice cable operated calipers on the front wheels. They are hydraulic as well of course but you just don't use that bit.
