Newbie Safari owner
Hi all, another new member from Auckland. Just picked up a 91 GQ SWB Safari with PTO & standid rear dif locker. Already done a 50mm body lift, just trying to find a set of 50/60mm lift springs if eneyone can help? Once i find them i will put on some 33'' goodyear wrangler MT's, good choice or not? Going to take off all the mud gards & side steps to. Keen as to meat some other Auckland people, do a few trips & maby join a lockel club if eneyone could serjest one?
Cheers Smurf, all very usefull stuf but would like to find that sort of stuff a bit closer to home (auckland) Have ben offerd a set of 50mm lift rear springs by Worthog, so if eneyone has a set of 50mm lift front springs they wont to get rid of i would love to here from you! Also if eneyone can sergest a good club to join in the Auckland area that would be cool to!
thanks.
thanks.
I found the wranglers no good on the safari, jusy my opinion, others would argue with me. They didn't clear mud quick enough, they bulged in the sidewalls and I managed to spike the sidewall twice in 6mths. I changed to the new Kumho KL71 as I was not happy with what was available on the market and decided to give something new a go. So far I haven't looked back. They are the quickest tread clearing pattern I have seen, aggressive directional pattern but good for the road. I have found them to perform exceptionally well in snow and ice so far. This weekend will be a good test for them, Grade 5 Westcoast tracks.
Oh, and welcome to the site, good to see another Nissan on here.
