Planning a trip down the Wainui coast to Ocean Beach, possible date 12th August, will be run as a shiny trip, maybe we can stop and have a bbq at lunch if its nice enough. its too wet to go up the hills (cattle ridge & orongorongo's....i don't want to have to explain to OSH why you were dumb enough to fall 900m off the hill
) but there will be a few area's that we can stop in if people want a challange and try and kill their trucks theres a nice huge rock scree you can play in....which may be damaging....ie tyres and bits under your truck.
may be run as an assn trip for insurance purposes, access is sort of sorted, to be confirmed.
Who's interested.??

Very interested.
Have done this trip with CCVC I think and it's a great trip, awesome scenery.
Gets quite cold in the afternoon when the sun goes down.

Its a good trip but the steep hilly bits are off limits at the moment coz its wet ... in summer we can do them...oh and it will be an ORE (or Ore Assn) trip. got to have some shiny trips
I am organising but I'll get Mark to run it on the day...coz I'm lazy .... he can be my trip bitch....or maybe Daisy....love this delegation thing.
Means I can sit back and take lots of pics....

(maybe I should go on commission
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... x&cPath=38
If you are NZ4wd Assn affiliated (ie thru another club) then all you need to do is flash your membership card, otherwise you pay a "visitor" fee...
Its worth joining as there will be an increasing number of ORE Assn trips which require insurance to get into area's.

so if I'm a member of the Taupo 4wd club(president) then I can come on your ORE assn trips, so long as I flash this membership card that I have only been sent once in the 15 odd years of being in the NZFWDA.

Haven't seen "Mr Bear" in the immaculate green Terrano around for a while (green Terrano in Jerry's middle pic)
Is he still around?
