i am currently doing the finishing touches to my nissan, including front drive shaft, gbox xmember, brakes ect, i have th old drive shaft off a RN46 hilux which is perfect as i have a hilux beam in the front of my ute, this drive shaft has a huge long joint on one end of it, could this be a d/c joint???
what do these look like??
what is good about them??
are they good on angels??
wil try to get a picture of it up soon,
any imput apprectiated....

double carden joints??
a double cardan acts like a cv joint-gives constant output with input rotation. normal propshafts must be aligned with parralel input. the ujs produce a pulsed output when at an angle, but cancel out if diff input and tcase output parrallel
I used a double cardan hilux propshaft on back of my zuk (cardan on tc side), cos it allows you to point the diff up inline with the propshaft.
if you get it wrong youll get bad vibration and stuff driveline
those propshafts are good cos theyre $28 from pick a part
also survived falling off the zuk and punching a hole in the ground at 70kph
i love nylocs now!
