Ok, well, we have decided that as we are going down to Godley Glacier for a 4x4 trip in August, we need to do a "test run" with having our kids stay overnight, and be out in the cold! So we are going to bring them with us and they are going to sleep in their Kathmandu warm sleeping bags in the truck. So Mark and I will be there, so will Jake and Olly for Saturday and the night and also sunday morning.
So Bubba, I won't be able to bring your two home with me, but am happy to help out with them on Saturday night if you bring them, so that you can drink your bourban!!

Jerry wrote:It won't actually be that cold...remember that big toasty warm fire ... just bring extra blankets, the woolshed is well sheltered as well.
The problem is, that no doubt there will we a fair amount of socialising done that evening, so the boys won't actually be able to sleep in the woolshed. We may just put them to bed in the nissan, then when everyone else has gone to bed, bring them into the woolshed for the rest of the night. But it is ok, we will work it out, it is a good trial run! Actually looking forward to it. Haven't been out 4x4ing for ages.

No fridge at the woolshed, there is a working bog (Loo...translated for Basics
), there are working lights as long as Cloggy brings his generator
BBQ is coming, I'm bringing my 2 burner thingy plus my small butane thingy and and teapot and coffee perk.

All ready to go too. Got the genie (now sort of quiet thanks to Tu's muffler which probably came of Mr O's Disco), 1250 watts worth of light, husky, cooker etc. etc. Actually looks like I am going away on expedition for 3 months instead of 1 night down the road a bit.
Looks like the weather is coming right as well. Should be a good day.
