Hi, welcome aboard

Snorkel, do you need one?? If you dont ever plan to go anywhere near water, ever, then no  But more than a few have been caught by the "that doesn't look that deep" before and ended up with an engine full of water, which as you could imagine, doesn't do it any favours(new engine time). Even if you dont go through water often, the safety net of a snorkel is always there if you need to.

:? :? Yep goose i agree,i most prob been lucky so far not to have done any damage to my engine.only problem is stupid me bought the snorkle for my "91"but that is my work truck and not my toy,so i don't think the snork will fit my "84"or"88"(will it?)
 And as for the chicken coop comment skid your not far off the mark.   I was arm twisted into buying it at an auction by my old man bout 10 years ago and drove her home parked her in the hay shed and haven't touched her since.
My trucks are not quite as heavily modded as most of the ones on here but they still can scare the crapola outta me at times.

The snorkel is an airtec brand, but no i probally wont sell (thanks for the offer)as one day my "91" will become my "toy" and then i might stick it on.
Does any one know?
Is there any cheapish snorkels about for the 84 - 88 hiluxs ?
