Back on topic.....
Just recieved this back, what are peoples thoughts? do we use Puerora or wherever it was and postpone this until mid summer where we have full access and fishing etc?
Kia ora Jeremy , if youre looking at labour weekend you will only have the front block option as I have people staying over at the river cabin on that weekend .
The front block has a large clearing about 15 achers with a kictchen -cookhouse and toiliet , plenty of room for tents and camper vans , easy access off highway 41 and a locked gate entrance .
There are heaps of bully track through the bush , you can make the track as hard or easy as you want , to suit all vehicles , most bully tracks link back to our main accsess road . I would suggest having one of us travell with you as a guide it will make it a lot easier to find youre way around.
There is the option of a trip out to the back block , but this will depend on the weather and track conditions.
2 days 4x4 driving , 1 night campsite accomadation ,
price per vehicle = $50
guide fee = $75 a day
for 20 or more vehicles , free guide for 2 days.
I would suggest if you or a couple of scouts are travelling over this way , let me know and I can take you for a look around the block , free of charge , to give you a better idea what youre looking at.
If you want to look at the river camp option at a latter date , you have to look at the middle of summer to get shinys down there and you would pobably have to limit numbers as the camping area is not that big.
any futher questions just let me know
