TERRANO RIMS

Post by FLOYD »

Hey guys - I have 94 terrano and am looking at a set of rims which are 15x7jj, but want to know if there is any variance between year of makes, like does a 96/97 have same size rims, or can they have different offsets? have tried finding specs but cant find them on rims as such, the ones im looking at are standard factory terrano 15x7jj so i should be safe yes?? or does the jj represent something to be aware of? I am buying them to set up some mudders on. Hey albundy if u read this, came across your home page for the 'black beast' - mine is 'black betty'!!!

Unless you really really eally want brand new nice clean shiny white spoke rims, keep your eyes on trademe and look out for some standard gold spoked steel safari rims.
You can pick those up for around $50 a set.
They are exactly the same as what you are looking for..

Umm, no your right, 15 X 7 only takes into account the diameter and the width of the rim.
The offset is different, i think its represented by the jj bit, or some times as a number like 0.9jj

I gather you want a set of rims for heading of the high way with.
If thats the case, then the Safari rims have the perfect off set for that application.
They put the tread on the tyres right out to the edge of the gaurds on a Terrano, making it only just legal, as the side walls stick out past the guards, depending on tyre choice of course.

What i'm saying is that on a standard R3M terrano with out all the fancy factory flares like the terrano 2, the rims are perfect as far as off set goes.
