you need to ask the manufacturers if it has stretch in it.
if the coil has something written on it, let us know. Theres bound to be someone on here that can tell you what it is.

Splice eyes in the ends of lengths of it and it would be great for towing ...
I am not sure about using it for snatching ... it depends on how much stretch it has ...
does your drum have any info on it ??
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

If it's anchor rope it will probably have some stretch in it to absorb sudden loading from swell, etc when attached to the bottom of the sea bed. Is it like this Image

Nylon 3 Strand Rope 20mm x 110m. Breakload 8300kg
... 3 strand nylon displays exceptional strength, and will last 4-5 times longer than natural ropes. It is easy to handle, knot and splice, and can stretch up to 46% before breaking....

That's what this site says about 20mm nylon rope.

Or it could be polyester Image (looks pretty similar to me) which apparently has a lower breaking strain and less stretch.

Hope that helps.
