starter motor for 86 pajero 2.5L desiel.

Post by lincooln »

we have a starter motor that was recently fixed due to the fact it would just click and not turn over. it worked solidly for a couple of weeks then only worked some times then not at all. i was just wondering if this is the solenoid or the actual starter motor? and advice on hoe to get this fixed as we need it for transport on the farm and we i need it for some trials. the engine is in very good nick starts easily.

Most of the time it will be the starter box's, they are located by the front left light. I had so many problems with my old one that I just by-passed the whole lot and put a push button on the dash, never had a problem after than.

I also have a few starter motor's that are for sale for 2.4 TD pajero's. Let me know if you need any help or more information and I will do me best to help.

yea thanks for the advice. Unfortuantely a hammer don't work neither does a bigger one. i have been told it may be the solenoid. I don't know if this is likely or not. we tried shorting the solenoid and it worked a few times but then gave up on me. still roll starts fine. if any of you guys have prices for starters I'm interested or any more info on them.
