BOP Trip, Round #2

Post by DJ »

ok there's the deal....... due to the success and inquiries we have desided to make plans for a trip over 2 days in the Rotorua area. this trip will be on Forestry land and require a permit unfortunatly these cost and therefore, I require definate numbers attending before setting anything in concrete. If 10 trucks turn up ( prefered amount) then it will cost about $22 per vechical. Then there is accomidation which will be arranged at additional cost, this will not be a lot as we would stay at a camp in the forest. This trip could be planned for the last weekend in Sept as the trees are locked up for the fire season from Oct. The trip is the Railway run (Mud and hills) and Rainbow Mt, ( big balls) not the track in Andy Cockroft's book. .... well thats the plan now its up to you ...dont want to hear about glow plugs or any other excuses... just get you shit together and be there.

Hey DJ,

If you want to make use of the trips side of the site to book the trip just give me a yell. collects money and keeps track of who is coming by who has payed. Then money is transferred in one hit to you to sort out the fees etc. An option for the organiser 8) .

WE would be disapointed if you weren't
hell its filling up quick... Come on in Mr C-R and Chops??
There Maybe a chance of staying at a pub at very good prices but will get back to every one when a definate price has been aranged. Or if people want to camp out on DOC site orthe camp but every one will be at the same place ( to share Rums etc). Remember, tow points are needed and will have to be surcure, this has been covered in previous posts somewhere. The forestry owners also require first aiders and kits, fire ext, plus other bits but I will get back with details later.

Hey Dennis. I think you'll find that the forest companies also require you have WOFs and reg and show that you have insurance as well for a permit.
I imagine there's a loop hole there for you though.

I would watch using the billing option on the site DJ.
Being a public forum and all we wouldn't want casual people browsing through and thinking we are paying you for a paid/guided tag along tour or somthing through this site.
Must specify that it is ONLY for the forest permit, in order to make things easier to organise if you do take that route.
Talking out my arse again,
Pete.

I was waiting for that from you george, not going to use loop holes have it covered. ThIS IS NOT a local club organised run. NO profit, I am paying for permit up front, copy of receit available, the total amount to be equally divided between those who turn up. the estimate, as of yesterday, was about $220 wether 2 or 50 turn up the permit price is the same. Realistily I was aiming for 10 vechicals. Naturily if more turn up then the price is reduced if less then the individual price increases.( please tell me what part is not clear) With out going off 1/2 cocked I'll wait to see what the forestry companies requirements are.
THIS TRIP IS NOT BEING RUN FOR PROFIT watch this space at a later date for organised fee paying forestry 4wding adventures.

Hey DJ if we're going dutch on this date does that mean you don't want us to shout you a rum or two 8)

NEVER TRUST A NISSAN OWNER.

You've got it wrong klompy you can trust nissan owners, in fact you can rely on them... couse they are the ones who carry everything, ever had a moment when you though "Damm I should have brought..." Ask the Nissan owner, he has one, probably has that and something else that could do the job better as well
Just remember to put a big truck infront of him couse with all that weight he is gona get stuck

Oh, i forgot to add:

ToYoda is sporting a new front bumber (pinched from the old mans collection of defender bits), and the rear, well thats stashed away under the house for ever. Make rear corner pieces and fit tow hooks next weekend.

So maybe, just maybe it will be a starter...............
