By the looks of things i mite have to change my engine in the pajero, so im wondering what road to go down.
1 swap for another 3L v6 simular age
2 have the old repaired for $2200
3 Change the engine for somthing like a VR4 if im going to change it anyway
4 Buy a toyota lol
pajero Engine swap
I would check wrecker first to see what they have and its price.
Then I would choose either reaper or swap with similar or slightly younger one.
In 1995/6 (I can not remember which), they change the V6 configuration to SOHC 24V and had slightly increased power. But I THINK other part is same include drive train so it could be straight bold on?
VR4 version, the alternator position is lower than Pajero's one??
May be you can change this... I'm not familiar to the engine swap...

1994 Pajero V6 3000 SWB Manual
Well, the way petrol prices are going I'd go for anything but the 3.0 or 3.5 petrols as they have a reputation as being (as I'm sure you are aware) quite thirsty...
Having said that, the only thing I've driven lately that is economical is my old bomb runaround Hyundai Excel that does 450km to 30 litres of petrol... maybe you could fit one of those motors in ?
they are made by mitsubishi...
Then again, maybe economy isn't an issue... in that case stay with the Pajero if you like it and throw a 4.0l Lexus donk in the hole - that way you get comfy seats AND Toyota reliability
