in relation to whats happening at waimak entrance... one of the guys that are workn on it i kind of know...through a friend of a friends kinda thing...he told me they are making it a more family oreintated place with a car park picnic area and sum other stupid stuff and that the fence is a "safety procdure"
hope someone does sumthing to stop it!!!

I can certainly see the logic in most of what they are doing.
Diverting the main road away from the jetboat carpark & creating a picnic type area will be great...it will isolate this area from the main traffic flow & make it a nicer place to be.
But still cant see the logic in shutting off access west of the jetboat area in the weekend.
Cars will still be stolen..maybe not quite so many will be dumped in this area but they will still be dumped somewhere....so the idea that costs will be saved is void.
The local residents will only become more anti any forms of motorised activites as they will now be driving past there front doors to get in.
If we were to join the locals in going against the locking off of access via this point we would gain some favour for possible battles in this area in the future.

just to let all know if you didn't the gates were being installed today at the challenge entrance to the waimak on the northern side just over the old bridge
(end of days for easy access)
but all in all i got my lux across the waimak today and did it without getting stuck once. luck or mabey its a hilux and just dose the job intended. (go the mighty hilux)
