my brothers mate txt me the other day while at work, and asked for a pull.

he had got his (old mans) ute stuck on a hill which then slid down the back into some pines. the hill was soaked.
after a couple attemps with the snatch strap decided to winch him up, only to find the ####### winch aint going. (is there a fuse with a winch? it makes a clicking sound just dosnt unwind)

in the end used heaps of sticks and pulled him to the top.

they are wrangler muddies arnt they, creepys look like the go if not

The clicking noise your hearing is the solenoids, not a fuse. You may need to just clean the solenoid connections or replace the solenoid packs.

mine used to click because the solenoid was stuck a swift bash with the side of a stick used to sort it for a trail fix

ive taken all the gears out and im soaking them in deisel, tomorrow night i will grease em all up and put them in and see what happends.

they did fairly well, let them down to 15psi. but yeah, im on the look out hahah

big relays normaly that have a push or pull action to them for ingageing things as well like starters in to ring gears
