I have seen a couple of other forums reagrding the idea of putting some LWB rear coils into the SWB to get a lift. Is this due to the weight differences of the wagons? or are they longer? or fatter?
Ihave won an auction for a pair of LWB coils but the owner feels that they won't give a lift. I don not have the height adjustable model if that makes any difference.
Help.....anyone??????
94 SWB Pajero lift
im not sure exactly what springs people use, but if you have them sitting there you may aswell try them. its not going to cost you anything but time. think its rears, swb will probly do as they will be a stiffer spring rate. i was at a workshop thats done some fairly serious mods to a pajero and he has put stiff patrol springs it in and says they work great. but it is a lwb with solid front axle swap.
the shocks? mine are standard and im happy with them for now. i was looking into geting 2 inch longer but have some other plans now so im holding off on deciding for the moment.
there are some pics of my pajero checking flex (southerner style) when i was making 35s fit in my album

not the best pic, but gives you an idea, the tyre on the front is a 35 the rear is a 33. 2" body lift, springs and thats about it in there.

Long Wheel base springs are the same height but stiffer, I put Lifted LWB Maxitrac springs in my Paj (95 2.8 SWB) and then strapped on a set of 32x11.5's. After it has settled I can still fit my head between the tyre and guards, est 3+ inch before settled and 2 after. You have to look into how much the second hand ones have sagged? Good luck and good to see so much Paj activity!!
I am running standard suspension with 32x11.5x15 Cooper STT's on 15x8 rims and they have never hit anything even on full articulation. I hope to be able to gain a little more mid ground clearance as my running boards are toast. These are coming off as soon as I can get time to make some decent side rails. I should get the springs tommorrow hopefully.
Also, winch and bumper going on hopefully this weekend. Well I will make a start anyway.
