Sunday - Gave the Worsely a crack with my mate who has a HiLux- about 2/5's of the way up i managed to take the wrong line (from following too closely / not watching) and dropped the drivers side in to a big ass rut which almost tipped the car on its side. Ended up getting all the passengers (3 of them) out the passengers side window and had them hang off the side rail while i was pulled back on all 4's by my mate. - Was great fun.
Continued on our way up and about 1/2 way up and was told by a bunch of walkers / bikers that the course had flooded and was fenced off 100M ahead- so we headed back down.
Then went back out to the Waimak and did the same thing... going through a big mud hole sticking to the side and the front left end started to slip and then dropped in a hole (I should of used more gas to counter it im guessing). Anyway again on some crazy incline waiting for the *crash / splash* as it turned on its side but luckily it didnt come - again wheels in the air and grounded (but this time in about thigh deep muddy water)- managed to climb out my drivers door window and opened the door and swung on it while my girlfriend crawled over to the drivers seat (pleading to get out - which wasn't happening as someone has to drive) and again got my mate to tugg me forward on to all 4's while im jumping up and down on the side rail trying to push some weight to stop it dropping further.
Will hopefully have photos up later. - Dont think I have photos of the second tip (mates girl might of took some - will find out) as we didnt really think about taking photos - just wanted out of the hole.
Looking forward to getting out and doing it all over next w/end!
Outta interest has anyone got a trip planned for next w/end? - As long as there is no hairy river crossing (no snorkel) i think i will be in!!
