Afternoon all, just a question. This weekend I would like to go on the Rallywoods trip. However the Whale is still on road tyres and I haven’t had a chance to get the rated tow hooks fitted.
Has anyone got a spare seat in a vehicle over the weekend?? I would still like to take the Whale in to sleep in on Saturday night (have been using it for camping in the back of it for a few years and I’m sure no one wants to put up with my snoring!!)
cheers

Can't be worse than my snoring (apparantly
), you can drive up to the hut easily....Handbrake took her shopping trolley car up there... , should be heaps of seats there, there are a few play areas you can probably try on road tyres and no hooks if you are keen.

Nice easy road to the Hut, I'm guessing the hooks thing will be up to the trip leaders (Saddam and Cloggy) ...... its their call. If you don't have a sufficient recovery point there will be plenty of seats anyway.....
A trip like this is about the social side and having a beer or 10 and meeting the others as well.

What?
Like to know how that came about?
Saddam organised this one.

Nope not yet,
Serious lack of motivation.
Haven't even fixed the indicators I smashed at Terawhiti. Just gave it wash (sort of, very quickly) and it has sat parked up most of the time since. Don't think I have even put petrol in it since the Terawhiti weekend.

curly12 wrote:One more silly question, do you get cellphone coverage there( need to sort out someone else to be the contact point for work if not)??
Not at the hut or on most of the tracks, but you can drive up the hill a few hundred meters and look down over Upper Hutt, so you can get coverage if you need to make a call. But if you need to receive calls at random times you are stuffed.
Ok put it this way, I plan to sleep in the hut, so if you also intend on doing the same then expect to put up with lots of grunting, moaning and other unpleasant noises, and thats just from my snoring. If too many people are camping in there then I will take the tent and make my own fun outside +o( ~:-( +o( :-@ :fire: :pooh: ]:-)

I think that Mark and I will sleep in the hut too, as we will have Jake and Olly with us, it will be too cold and wet for them in a tent.
But don't you sleep in the dirt every time you go to Rallywoods?
Anyway... you are welcome to stay in the hut with us and the kids... hehehe. The likelihood of them waking you up is about 3%, but I'm sure that the other way will be closer to 97%
Anyway, you know what they were like at Terawhiti. Didn't even wake up when we were all boozing and smashing hunks of 4x2 on the floor from underneath the woolshed... eh Cloggy?
