its a great truck and goes well, better than the old 2lt ever went :D very happy with it :D
while i was entering next to the challange i happend to stumble apon a freindly ranger, about to lock the gate. he let me en there are no issues with me about this new agenda as i exited via haskets rd and it wasn't that far out of the way.
no air rifels were used and no stopbanks harmed.

so me be keen for some weekend action as i will fit snorkal and other bits tommorow and friday and hopefully get a body lift kit in aswell. i have read up on the subject and feel confident enought to lift her 50mm and fit the 33" of the surf

yeh it was a good buy and after doing alot of resherching, the amont of extras was to hard to resist . i has some after market shocks and springs and the winch works well. plus it more suits my needs as for 4wding. i dont hate the toyota's just like the set-up of a swb safari, and it is hopefully be a bit stronger that the surf. as for the mods, well that never ends with something new and better always around the corner. but i can rest assured it will keep me busy for a while. now i have to sell the surf, once i fix her up.

From the Toyota coming to get him in the middle of the night?

so he has gone to a far heavier truck and a PTO winch, they are fine I guess but I would have looked for a landcruiser, Keep posting in a build thread as you find and do stuff to get it to where the surf is currently.

all good, atleast i will have some good competion. i got the snorkal on and have swaped the tyres over from the surf, have also learned tonight that it has 50mm lift with with gabrial shocks. it also has a rear lsd :D :D :D
i have also got a steering wheel & boss kit plus a 30amp 24v/12v convertor to run all the gizmos so should be all good.
the partner also got stuck in and is in the prosses of painting all the interior trim matt black. she pulled the whole dash out with very little help from me. so i was quite impressed with her. then once i sell the hilux in the next month or so i will put the front lokka and manual hubs in the safari.

Good one Steve! Isn't it strange that the Toyota you had/have wasn't strong enough to handle a repower like what I had done. Yet the pretty much stock FJ40 running gear handles the 300+hp NO problems!! (just have to get that rear diff brace sorted to stop the diff twisting under max load, then I'll be doing burnouts with the 35's) 8)

Kinda sorry to see you went to "the dark side".

GO THE MIGHTY TOYOTA!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
