Im Assuming you have a safari? The body can crack where the floor pan meets the firewall, take a look.

Hi martin, i have the same issue.
Its one of two things.
The panhard rod bush at the diff end or the body mounts.
I would say that in your case its the left hand body mount just behind the front wheels. Could be either side. Its very common and usually gets worse when wet.
You can try putting a spanner on the nut on the end of the body mount and giving a good tweak up tight, or be cheap and slip an old shock bush between the floor pan and the body mount and re tighten, or replace the mount with a new one from $$$Nissan$$$.
The pan hard rod bush is an issue that GQTROL (mitch) had some advice on. He reckoned the only thing they found to fix that was to make a bush out of "oily bush".
I have urethene bushes on a 50mm sus lift with out adjustable panhards and the bush clunks around. Considering trying the factory bush in that end to see if it improves.
Hope that helps man.

well i dont know if i am releaved or not, i guess its good to know that im not the only one in this boat, rather than smashing through the bush on saturday and think oh F#%K it its only a fuse, i might sit down and and do some investigating... well post when i know the outcome, thanks very much for the tips

Yeah, thats what they do. I chose to leave the sleave as it was so as not to distort the floor pan, which is why i used a top bush of a front shock which was a similar diameter to space it back up. Either way will work just as well in the end though

I still got the pan hard rod clunk unfortunatly. Can't be major though, just put it through for a wof and nothing was said.
