all i can say is we had PHAAT TIME YO

the worst thing about the whole spitting the fan belt issue is i was planning on gettin a spare from repco on the way there ....... then stopped for a hot coffee after picking up my navi and then promptly forgot about the bloody belt

but it all worked out in the end so its all good

Image

as for the day, as DB said we split from hamiltron and headed to tomos with the intention of hitting the loop track and hitting it hard  which we did and were having a ball !! couple of trees to sort out which my truck does quite well (see vid clip) and then a small slippery uphill that had to be given some effort (where my belt first popped off) then on from there where there was a couple more trees over the track, managed to drag the first one off the track but the second(a mature pine of about 50ft in length)was a bit much to move so around it we went.
pretty good driving after that for a little while untill we got to the big pond where a compulsory dip was taken  ...which is about where my belt let go again and was munched  crap, thats pretty much when it started to really PISS down..... yea fun

pretty much what pete said from there but ill add that the fiddy is AWESUM and is a force to be reckoned with in the bush, totally self suficient(that tiny winch is perfect for the job) and a very capable little truck. good work dude

small vid clip of a some interesting spots...sorry but all the stuff after that was kinda forgotten about with the camera as we were a bit busy

http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/images/ ... thomps.wmv

SKID the best time to do thomps is in the rain bro, makes it way more fun  and i have a new dent from nudging one of the trees when winching around too  will post a pic soon

and im addin pics etc as i go so keep checkin back

oh yeah, how dirty did the poor dog get, sitting on the fiddy....?

I have an update to my electrical wiring job post from yesterday.

I spent this afternoon finishing the thermostat replace, an did a bit more on the electric fan mod wiring.

It's all plugged in where it should be, so I could test it, which was all good, just a bit of a tidy up once the fan is in and mounted.

I have left the wires a bit long at the moment, easier to shorten than extend and keep them tidy.

The pic shows the relay (the right hand one with the fuse on the top), and the loom I built ,to go from the relay to the fan and thermoswitch.

Here is a link to what the warning light looks like, for when the fan is switched off while fording. Hopefully I shouldn't miss this

Had speed trial at the harrisville motorcross track. Yesterday - as seen from coxys and brentc's pics. Good turnout of vehicles, and perfect condition, blue sky and slippery as fcuk clay 8)
Small clip of what it was like inside of vehicle. hard too actually see what track was like. Need too solid mount the camera, poor rotazuk getting bounced around - nothing like a bumpy track in a leaf sprung zuk  Can just hear rev limiter at certain points round the track (8000 rpm  )

Hey there Tin Tin,good to meet up with ya on the track, your most welcome to tag along anytime. The day kinda lasted a little longer than we intended but the wettest and dirtiest day in the bush is better than sitting at home dreaming about doing some shit.

What shocks did you put in there?

they are air shocks out of a vk commodore 660mm long worked out perfect with the laurel springs as the springs are just loose but could not fall out, ps it idled out of there which is not bad for open diffs, cheers
