Hey Harris, how's it going??
You more than welcome to come out for a skid!!

Where abouts are ya based and what sorta vehicle have ya got??

I think we were looking at the 24th & 25th of september at this stage, so keep it free!!

You will need a rated front and rear tow hook and mud tyres as a minimum, and possibly some crap for the forestry permit, but we can sort all that out if your keen.
Cheers,
Peter

Well, we went up the track that you lost your drive shaft on (Mt Elisa)and then back down the walking track to the saddle.
I think we went about a third of the way down the other side, to the first really huge bog.

obvious to much rum in that boys diet,
what he's trying to say is, the forestry fire season starts on the first week of Oct, this closes the forest to everyone. This year due to low rain fall and dry conditions there is a very good possibility that they may close it early.but will not be confirmed until maybe next week. Instead of cancelling the trip it has been desided to move it to Minganui. DOC area. The tracks have been checked out by Scot and myself last weekend and are very good to challanging There,s mud, hill desents, hill climbs, axle twisters something for everyone. There is no charge and no permit fees. This could be the last time some of you may be able to do these tracks as DOC is going to close them soon. Scottie has also arranged accomidition at the PUB close to Rainbow Mt ( not Murapara) at very reasonable rates $35 per head includes meal breakfeast and cut lunch. Day one will be spent at Minganui day 2 at a private and very interesting block of land.
Sorry about delay but alot of bits and pieces had to be put together. From this, another trip with accom. offered has come about but lets get this one done first
