Would prefer Assoc. members

Discussed this with John at the meeting on Sat, we cover ourselves Insurance wise...the fee is for non assn members. We are going thru forest bits.....if its easier we can just exclude them

Get used to this, there are more Assn trips coming up and most of these places require us to have insurance cover fire and stuff.

Uuummm ok

But in my defence maybe you should have explained that first so people don't start jumping to conclusions.

maybe "As we are going through forestries this will now have to be a Assn trip and we will have to pay a small fee to cover insurance for those that don't have membership" or something like that

Jerry I was going to give you that one but now............. fck it

Nothing was said about it being a bloody ASSN trip except from you, and it wasn't your trip. I read it again and again in case I missed it and still nothing. All i could see was you putting your nose in and pushing the issue. It appears you have an agenda to push the ASSN where ever you can.

Now I have no issue about paying or clubs or insurance but I do have a issue over people pushing their own agenda's on others.

As for organising trips, I have done, and I will do again but nobody will dictate to me when this should be, and while we were on the subject, to my knowledge its not even your trip Jerry.

Disclaimer: despite what this may appear like, it is not a personal attack just a philosophical debate over a issue that I may not necessarily agree with.

See i can be grown up about it

For the record I asked John to organise it for us and kept nagging him.....re the other stuff I only make it an assn trip if we require the insurance etc.

It won't be an issue next time coz the trip will be in the assn trip section..If I am organising inter club assn trips then My expectation and the other clubs expectation is that Assn members are going or at least cover themselves insurance wise. So Do I keep organising the other 4 away interclub trips I have planned or do I drop these? I can easily drop these if this is the hassle I'm going to get every time.

See you on the Trip

PS Ring me if you have any more questions

Whats this got to do with this trip. If the trip needs insurance then so be it but lets not get officious about it. An who gives a rats ass about what the others clubs expectations are, if they have any then they will tell us. If Johns club has invited for a drive then lets just drive, if they say insurance, then we pay. If they say just turn up and have some fun, then lets do that, because thats they way I read it. John very kindly via his club asked us for a fun drive, thats all

If you don't want to organise any more trips, so be it but I don't respond well to threats of "shut up or I won't organise any more trips"

As for ringing you Jerry, I don't need to. I see this as a important issue and I think it needs airing. I respect you for organising heaps of shit but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything you do. An I like airing my laundry in public, nothing like a good debate

Yep ...if we need insurance on this trip then "paperwork" needs sorting and stuff........and we are covered either way now whether we need to run this as an Assn or Private trip....its NO different to any other trips I've organised or will organise....

Johns a big boy and I have no doubt that he is fully capable of saying just that and more than likely will. Only thing worse than having your thread hijacked and thats having your trip Hijacked :P

Just an update on this trip. DOC is planting on that weekend in the area we are looking at going into. I have a meeting (club) on Thursday to clarify where we can or cannot go, or if we can go at all - or maybe postpone until another weekend. It may be that we can go in but have to avoid some areas - don't want to upset DOC!.

Keep watching I'll keep you informed.

Bad news on this front chaps!! We will have to postpone this one until another date because of the planting planned for the weekend. Will be having talk with DOC re access issues soon. We want to keep things smoooth up here...so keep watching. If we don't go there we can go elsewhere - just have to set a different date. The rivers up here are very dicy as too if they are up or down in water level so we can always do one there later on.

I'll keep workng on iut!

Sorry!!
