Costa plenty trip

Post by haynzy »

Seen as we Manawatu Guys were made so welcome at a recent rallywoods trip , I am organising a trip to Costaplenty, which is about 500 acres of 4wd tracks that are similar to Rally woods. I am planning to do it on the weekend 22nd and 23rd of september but those dates need to be confirmered with goldie, If you are keen please pm me as numbers are limited to 20 trucks

I tried to get hold of them a while back to organise a trip up there but could never get through to them. If you have a contact then I'm possibly keen to go up for a look. It's up near Pahiatua isn't it?

That's the one. Same phone number as I have on a business card. Apparently it was a Sat phone or something and I could never get through. But I assumed that the card I had was old and gave up after a few attempts.

It's actually called Coasta Plenty 4x4 Park ($20 isn't really that expensive... get it... costa plenty  )

From the little map on the card it is NE of Makuri. Here's a map of directions from Pahiatua to Makuri.

That weekend clashes with the Welly Training weekend  I know for a fact that there are people interested in this trip, perhaps a change in date, what about LABOUR Weekend (for those not going up to Pueora) or postpone a bit later ie late Nov or Early Dec?

OK as the training day is on onthe same date as when I booked costaplenty, I have cancelled our booking there.
I can organise another trip there for late nov or dec (I see on the trip calender a few spare spots) but it does get very dry in the warmer months. So I was thinkin an overnighter late this year to have a look and abit of socialising and the when our friend Mr Mud comes back we can have some fun.
Thoughts?
