Slowly but surely getting the bloody thing finished

It is a 1997 TJ that was once owned by "Jake the Muss", it has 6 inch Skyjacker springs, XJ auto, prado transfercase, safari axles, Superwinch hydrulic winch, and one day when the handbrake will allow I dream of fitting a supercharger.

Is this a Air Bag model and if so what have you done about it .

Yep, dam it, those bloody air bags have caused some headaches, but we think that we have found a way around not reinstalling them, will find out next month when I hope to be going for cert and compliance.
Aussie competion rules make you remove them before competing, not supprised tho, why would you need a airbag when you are wearing a 4 piont harness inside a roll cage.

In US, dealers can sell you a switch that deactivates the air bag on the passenger side as its sold as a "utility vehicle" with no rear seat. Therefore, to carry your little children in the front, you are allowed to have the switch in there. Might be an idea to do such a switch.

By the way, TJs have the sensor just above the transmission tunnel behind the dash.

Not much point in using a switch, Tem Morison blew the bags when he hit a bridge on the West coast, and the space left in front of the passanger will be put to good use, it will carry my lunch which I'll eat when waiting for Toyotas and Nissans to catch up!

Customers cars have taken all his time recently, that is good and bad but like any project there is a re-think in progress and things may change.

Once Sheffield is out of the way he may have some more time to spend on it.

Hi all

Have been busy with work lately, so the truck went on hold for a while, but we have made some progress latley.
Pulled the suspension out because I was unhappy with it, it just was not going to provide the articulation and comfort that I was after.
So we have started on a 5 link front end and 3 link in the rear with a A arm top link, the front end is relatively easy to set up, but the rear has taken some brain power to get the anti squat, anti roll and anti walk set up.
Will post some pics soon
