Have juggled things (read: put off doing something that was meant to be done) so will most likely be there.

If any one has a break-down* part way up my place is 2kms from the river at the railway bridge

*is Matt coming?

LOL harsh but you better make sure you have rope and duct tape just in case, he may be out.

I think he has gotten better at welding and fixed most issues, it flexes real well.

Since my last post I've just spent ¾hr down the Ashley. Its lots dryer than its been, no where near as much water and mud since I was down there last...

Could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your taste...

ok well im back from lake bunner, west coast. what a trip. i caught my frist brown trout and it was about a foot long. will eat it tommorow.

as for the ashley trip, all good even if there is little mud, i will be a good oppertunity to meet new members and it may be a bit more forgiving on the tracks for the more begginer drivers. 11 trucks sounds good. :D :D

azza you have to ring me or txt to jack up time to pick you up? im thinking about 10:15 am if ok.

cheers guys hope to see you there and remember you can txt me on 0211420934 steve. :D

mu ha ha ha first back :D , not really sure thats a good thing, i bailed at the goon bridge the rest are going onto the gorge.
Typical me, cocked up the time and turned up half an hour late, but the good buggers waited for me, im sure there will be a few pic's up (i was finding it hard enough to drive with a sling on so didnt get any)
Anyway i just want to say a big thanks to all who came and organised the day it was great and i can't wait to go out again

Have arrived home & just started to sort through the 100 photos I took today. Got some good ones of PR stuck

Will post them in an album in the trips section where everyone can post their pics too, so will keep permissions open.

Will post link here once I've done it.

Cheers guys for a good afternoon meander :D

I just got back - one of the 8 trucks that went on - The other 7 will still be travelling.

We got as far as the Okuku and by then the sun was getting low. Had a number of interesting water crossings, truck is drying out now...

I was by myself (except the dog) so didn't get any photos but there will be some coming up...

The wee Zuki had no snorkle and made it all the way without a tow which is more than most of us can say...

Nah, we pulled out at the Rangiora bridge. We don't have our snorkle on yet, thats next weekends project and we had to get our youngest home for a sleep. And we needed to post up the photos. Would've loved to carry on though.

I think we were just close to the get stuck action all day, I know there were lots of other pics taken, hopefully they will find their way onto the album.
