picked up my arb winch bar on friday, finished putting it on about 11am sat morn and went for squirt up thompsons track
starting to look like a truck now
Went up thompsons today and did the loop. Found all the trees D boy and wopass were talking about a couple of weeks ago. I cleared a few of them. I have been wanting to tackle the pond on the loop for some time. Today was the day.

I wussed ot of the pond and followed the 4wheeler track around the edge ( Was worried about how deep those ruts where and if i missed them i would have been on my side )

Did i mention it was AWESOME
Not much 4x4 realated, but did about 700K's+ in the safari, towed a few knobs out that got there cars stuck on the side of the road. Biggest was a ford transit with car trailer from one of the support crews that go stuck up to its rear axle
was that you in the red safari db, we were the noisy wankers locked in the paddock with the big yellow and red tarps, we laughed watching the odd couple with bags of gravel in the transit camper you towed, had i known i would come over and introduced my self.

my weekend started with miner repairs tom my rig on saturday the on sunday went up the fourmile to clear up a bit of a blockage where a slip had dumped a large treetrunk on the track making it impossible to pass as the side of the road had fallen away so abbit of chainsawing and wiching with the help of a freind we reopend the road further down the track was more overgrowth on a side road so we got out and cleaned up the sides of the track and then continued bak to town hopefully all going to plan will go up again this week i will go finnish the repairs

we fitted a set of those to the winch truck in time for the rotorua winch challenge. They made a HUGE difference. I reckon it is money well spent. Took a bit of time fiddling with the nitrogen pressures to get them right though.
