Not as silly idea as it sounds Jerry, but I would never piss on my Toyota, rather save my urine for pissin on Nissans. Something along the lines of "Rather push my Toyota then drive a Nissan"

True. Funny thing is. The Truck motor has lower k's than me Holden motor. 40,000k against 124.000k's in the Holden.
I use the FJ40 everyday. The Holden is kept in the garage under a cover. :D

Nice!
Injected 406 Chevy power plant huh? What year is that model motor? Any closer up pix of it? I checked out your other pictures on page 45? Couldn't see any close ups.
So don't tell me (as you're a mate of skids) you really wanted to repower your 40 with a Ford??

thanks for posting up the pic...

you mean my old FJ45? yah, he was a cool old guy. reliable, tough and a real blast to drive...when i first joined the http://www.rmlca.ab.ca/ everyone there was a diesel bigot so i drove the gasser just to prove they were every bit as capable. that yellow tank would go everywhere the big diesels would...

cheers

Wait to Sadam sees those 45 pictures, he's the 45/75 King around here. I think at one time or other he owns most of 45 that have come into NZ 8)

we got 500 BJ70 base models a year from 1985-1987 (roughly 1500 and most are rusted POS now) then ALL diesel cruisers stopped coming into canada. the only 75 series trucks are pilphered from the mines and now coming in from other parts of the world.
i have only owned...ummm... about 4 FJ45, 2 HZJ75, 1 HZJ79, 2 PZJ75, 1 FJ75 (this one: http://www.luxuryimports.ca/forsale/199 ... /index.php whiched got turned into this: http://www.luxuryimports.ca/forsale/199 ... /index.php ) which will be turned into a dump truck for the farm.

all i am trying to say, i have had the pleasure of experiencing what you guys take for granted. many, many Canadian cruiser heads are very jealous of your good fortune.

for now we are lucky since we can bring in some very cool rigs from Japan and the rest of the world (till the government takes away our rights http://www.ivoac.ca )

i would LOVE a 1991-92 troopie if anyone wants to find me one...
