Snorkel Pre Filter Cleaning

Post by UBZ »

hey all

Deos anyone know the best way to clean a Air Flow Snorkels pre-Filter

I pulled mine out the other day and it is obviously doing it job as it was quite dirty

I turned it inside out and cleaned it with a mild detergent , this got rid of most of the grim but still left and oily residue.

Any Ideas how to get it really clean?

Or were to get another one from?

hi
I wash mine in the parts wash at work kero would do the same thing and then put in a large zip lock bag with the oil (buy it from your local 4x4 shop)and squeese it in to the filter then refit I'm assuming the pre filter goes inside your snorkle if you put to much oil into the filter you will find oil in your air filter housing I did yesterday
I find leaves and gorse prickles in my so watch your fingers
have fun

u can buy K&N filter clean kit from repco etc. spray on oil after clean. does great job. over oil can restrict air flow.
