Hunting Opportunity Wanted

Post by Dick »

Hey Guys,

Myself, and 3 mates are mad keen on hunting. We are out spotlighting all the time for rabbits, hares possums etc, and are always keen for going after pigs, goats, deer etc too.

As our summer holiday is approaching, we thought it would be a great idea to try and go on a hunting trip. We live around the Taupo area.

We were thinking along the lines of going down the South Island, and going hard out after rabbits, hares and possums, and everything else that we are allowed to shoot that comes our way.

So therefore the reason for this post is to ask if anyone knows of, or owns a block of land, station etc down the south island, which they would be so kind to let us onto for a few days and nights of hunting.

Even if you have an area where we can do the above in the North Island, and are so kind to let us on it for a few days or even a night or to, this also would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway, we consider ourselves safe, responsible hunters, who follow the rules and abide by what the land owner requests, and would be very thankful to anyone who can help us out.

Thanks for your time in reading this.
Richard. :)

How far south would you go? I know alot of farms in Mackenzie hire rabbits shooters, and theres no harm in asking for a night shoot. Or you could go up the Macaulay valley, there are lots of hares and possums up there, as well as deer, thar and chamois.

Thats not to bad. We probally could manage that. Are you affiliated with any of the rabbit shooters, or have they just advertised for shooters?
Cheers.
