And daughters thats a good idea, i best get my breeding socks on.. and start getting prepared
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experiance!
Any suggestions?? 3 day camp out road trip sounds good, family friendly too which would encourage more north Islanders to go? ...what about somewhere at the top of the south island or around ChCh to dunners, I have heard there are some great tracks in the south Island?

Im sure im not the person to ask due to my lack of experiance , but im sure heaps of us canterbury would be keen to arrange something and show you guys some real tracks , and with this much time there will be many suggestions and im sure something will be organised. There are tracks and ORE members all around the island im sure many will be keen to travel, canterbury is pretty central for everyone, but some of us cantabs wouldn't mind going elsewhere.

You should head from Picton to Nelson, via Muangatapu, to the west coast via New Creek (?), for 2-3 days then Christchurch before heading further south if you have time...
Hey Jerry, seen you gunna be the nth island co-ordinator for this expedition, what grade of trip do you want. I note family friendly so that rules out the winch challenge tracks around Reefton as they are grade 5+ . I could arrange something around central for you serpentine, Old Man range, Whitecombe rd, Carricktown etc. On the Coast we could do No Name, Waipuna tunnels and napoleons hill is a must do, Waitahu, Mt Greenland are all family friendly with plenty of mud, off camber shit , excellent scenery. Any cahnce you could pin point the dates so some of us can book the leave.
