hi guys if any body out there reasonably local has a underfloor petrol/diesel tank for a post 1980 40 series would appreciate it ,my mates one is so full of rusty shit he has to take 2-3 spare filters with him on every trip ,and he uses them cheers

I gave one to phil complete with a 40 series cruiser attached but I think he sent it all off to the scrap metal guy

yeah he had 2 the greddy man and scrapped them both. and i thought we had taught him well (about hoarding stuff)and he does that .time for some retraining i think

last time I was talking too him about it, he was grumpy. A few years ago he was buying and wrecking heaps and selling parts, but alas there was little interest in 40 parts. Now the parts are gold and he can't buy them cheap enough. I'm sure Baylis is a scottish name.

look up, buy one of them from the states while the money is good. they are made in aussie, so if you can find out where you may get it cheaper from there.

you got a winch that holds twice as much as normal, why not get a fuel tank that holds twice as much gas

Tis 1976. Pretty sure the tank (floating around in the Back now) in that year was under the seat.

If we really try hard enough, I'm sure we could add a few more people into the mix.

Once I get my hands on it, I can send it to Napier, then on to Carterton, then through to Brooklyn and finally on to Stokes Valley and Sig.

Once all of that is done he should get it in time to give to his mate for a xmas pressie.
