:( just discovered I've got a bit more work to do before next weekend... remember last trip when I said the steering was a bit off, well I've just noticed the relay bar is kinda bent  got a 30 degree bend in one end!

Oh and the other thing is, how bad is the mud gona be, you think a brand new set of AT's would be alright 8) just discovered the 33" AT's I bought for the lux fit, well apart from the 6" sticking out the side 8) :D

or do I put the 30" ATX's back on

I know I Know.

Its got to be done.

I couldn't stand hearing the cool stories when you get back.

Besides, i know the track Scotties talking about know, its the one where i smashed my rear quater pannel on trying to get up the steep slippery clay hill at easter.

#### all to winch from as well. After that tracks all about articulation and choosing the right line. And wether you have a locker/welded diff or not

We didn't get that far on it, to much time spent winching my self out of ruts that Dwaynes surf drove through like they were'nt even there.

Bugger it, i'm going home to fix my frive shaft.

Oh, my camera takes stills and video's and can be played through a TV.

A proper Video Camera would be better if some one has one, but mines ok.

I have no missus these days to drive it, and the dog thinks its a toy, so if some one has a keen passenger and no winch on the front, they can take it in their vehicle.

Is there a gas station near accomodation on Saturday night??
Or do i need to hire a bowser trailer from porter hire for the weekend??

If ya have broadband and wanna see what your in for, or you have dial up and heaps of patience, go here and have a look at these three vids:

I couldn't figure out how to link to the specific vids, but these are the three minginui vids:

MOVO3808

MOVO3811

MOVO3812

So write down the numbers, this link takes you to the page they are on:

http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... hp&page=15

They are reasonably big but well worth the watch!!!

Chain saw located next to toool box

60 or 30 meter winch cable??

I can't decide.

The 60 is a bit of a mongrel to use, it has to spool on perfectly else it jams up or comes off the drum. Best used with a block on short winches to create more room on the drum. Hassle setting up.

30m cable is just that little bit to short, but good for small quick winches out of ruts etc as you can use it with out the block.

I think perhaps i shorten the long cable to 40 meters and i get a comprimise. Still allows roughly 20m when using a block.

Still gotta fix ya up for the to cable Wopass!!!!

Hey from the comments about lack of anchor pionts... do you want me to build an anchor.... got another day off (due to weather) was plaining on stripping the winch :( its still not working right

From the sounds of it, it might be worth throwing some recovery gear in the back :D

called into TWL to get some truck parts and there's three bush crews buying recovery gear cause they are sick of getting stuck on one of the tracks we are using for access. They said we are f...ing nuts and they fully expect to see us still there on monday morning.
Ha,... what do they know!!!
bring extra food.
There is plenty of winch points, DB, dont need to bring miles of wire and we always carry a 20 metre extension.
