hello all, I've just fitted 33's & a 50mm lift to my LWB safari, now when I accelerate from low revs in the first 3 gears I get a really bad vibration / rumble through the driveline for a couple of secs until the revs get up,
could this be due to the bigger tires, or a alignment issue with the lift ???
I been told that a 50mm lift on a LWB dos'nt need any driveline modification ?
any info will be greatly appeciated.
cheers

Hi there,my SWB has had the same prob from the day i bought it
It was factory everything and it had this rumble on low rpm(up to about 1200rpm)
When we kitted her out with a 60mm sus lift, gearbox spacers,33 muds etc it made no difference to the rumble, i do get a small vib betweem 85-90km (and this only happened after fitting 30mm coil spacers on the rear)then it stops and this is what i believe is the driveline vib everyone talks about.
After much searching for answers i came across a mech who says he has found a few 4wd gearboxs that have play in the meshing of gears that seams to be an uncommon fault and makes them chatter at low revs.
I have not been able to confirm this but im buying a lwb for parts and i will change the gearbox to see if this solves the problem.
Q. was the rumble there b4 you put the 33 on??may be a uni worn??
