Check out Wgtn Van, Ute and 4x4 in Petone....last time I went in there they had some Grand Vitara bits, not sure of any other ones....could also find out the price of the individual bits from Suzuki (you may be suprised ....have found them good on the odd parts) if you finf the parts sort of reasonable I can check out a trade price for you ...I have a couple of contacts.

I think you can get an Autolocker for around $600 this might be an option if avaliable not sure what bits they include though?

I know I could get a lockright rear auto locker, and Rocky Road in the states are currently developing a kit to fit one to the front. The only other alternative I've heard is to convert the front axle to a Vitara one and getting an ARB which is more than a bit out of budget

just fix up what you've got and get mobile again, the $500 diff sounds like the most afordable option so far

Fark $2g for a steel fron diff , dam I got a steel front diff with an arb locker for $1g and I only wanted the locker out of it .

Get a 413 diff head and get the mount fabricated onto it , I believe they fit but have not tried it .

Yep but if you are making the diffhead stronger then where is the next weak point? the axles or the CV's???

Changing a cv or axle is a lot cheaper than getting another housing each time you bust it . The way they are the housing is the weak point , bust it on the trail and you are stuffed . Its a lot easier to carry and change a cv in the bush .
