I'm in ... now where's that form ....

Too slow .... The course is now full

Oh well I guess I can wait for the next one.

Well it is the same day as the big HB Race day so I guess I will work there and make some money to spend on the truck.

Mike will do some initial talks/demo's that everyone can be involved in, ie:
* vehicle setup and limitations
* tow points, fitting of rated tow points
* identification of suspension types and how they work
* snorkel setups and limitations when not fitted with one
* recovery equipment and attachment to vehicles

And then when the NZQA 'students' need to do their assessments we'll take the other group off to do some practical driving through marked out obstacles (I won't call them hazards, even though everything is a hazard these days). We will be able to talk and walk people through anything that they are unsure of.

So this is for everyone... not just those interested in doing the NZQA unit standards.

i'll try and turn up on da sunday so's i can learn a few things to file away for later....

If you have a manual that is preferable. If you can get your hands on a manual even better, failing that if you can borrow a manual on the day for the stalled hill climbs perfect. Otherwise we will make do with an auto.

But if someone doesnt mind letting people have a go in the manuals for those that have autos then that would be awesome. Its not for the whole day, just for the stalled hill climb.

 For those that normally drive an Auto then they should practice the failed hill climbs and hill descents in an Auto as well as a Manual so they learn both. No use learning in a manual and then trying to figure out how to do it in an Auto when they really need to..... I assume you will be showing people all 3 types? Stalled, Stopped (ie brake and then reverse) and instant (where you don't have a chance or can't brake.

Just my 5 cents

Hi Guys,

Little update.

Can these people please bring their Birth Certificate or Passport and a copy of it please for me to verify and return, also $25 to load onto the nzqa system:
> Jeremy Ackley
> Debbie Anderson
> Andrew Gee
> Ian Grigor
> Ryan Mcnulty

These people just need to bring $25:
> Gareth Emeny
> Malcolm Emeny
> Marty Green
> Pierre sevens
> Rodney Topp

Turoa bring some form of ID and your restricted license.

Also turns out the mana boat club is booked out for the theory day. Anybody know of a classroom that is suitable that we can use with a data projector?

Cheers

Sorry bubba, deleted the address so not to confuse people.

The theory part of the course will be held at the polytechnic in the classroom as described in the information sheet. I couldn't get hold of you bubba to confirm the room in time so went with the polytechnic.

Cheers
